ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION

A FUTURE-ORIENTED ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION SET-UP FOR A FINANCIAL PROVIDER

How to transform SIX’s corporate communications department into a best-in-class marketing and organizational communication to break through traditional silos?

Swiss innovation and security in the financial sector.

SIX is an international service provider for the financial industry and operates the financial infrastructure of Switzerland. A lack of consistency communication was not only impacting the company’s positioning goals, but also hindering collaboration and organizational communication across both internal and external functions.

Towards a transformed Organizational Communication (COM) structure.

SIX approached Globeone for a comprehensive assessment of the company’s organizational challenges, with regards to both internal and external communications and the integration of marketing communications. Based on competitive benchmarking, management interviews, and the analysis of internal data, we developed three approaches to strengthen SIX’s COM organization. These considered reporting hierarchies, budget authority, and other internal collaboration enforcement mechanisms.

Breaking silos and increasing organizational communication efficiency.

Existing reporting lines were adjusted to overcome the challenge of fragmented communication resources and establish clear roles and responsibilities with a more centralized spend allocation. Following Globeone’s recommendation, SIX took a decisive step forward to ensure that its corporate and marketing organizational communication always support company strategy.
